Day 105.

RIP Michael Jackson. ❤️

I hope I’m not coming down with something. I’ve got a dry cough and my throat is scratchy. I’ll take my temp shortly. 😬 (No temp. Whew.)

I got up at a decent time, but I ended up falling asleep for 2.5 more hours. I didn’t feel too bad. I got around to doing my laundry too. Yay! I did two loads. My jackets are finally clean.

Super proud of myself. I didn’t nap today. Definitely feeling it. Ahh. I’m planning to sleep a little early tonight. Anyway, I cleaned a few areas in my room today. It’s so easy to make things messy, but harder to clean. Does that happen to anyone else?

Animal Crossing update: I finally grabbed a few money bags on my island. I’ve got some more so I’m doing okay with bells. I did a little shopping and sold a bunch of items. I also paid some of my loan off. Sold the last of my turnips. The price hasn’t been more than 200. Ugh!

I’m gonna finish exercising, practice a bit of my uke, and reward myself with a green tea face mask. I also updated my laptop. It took forever. Must sort through my archives. I have so many pictures. I want to organize it all.

That was my Thursday. June is almost done. Looking forward to July! Hope y’all had a good one. Posting a throwback photo btw. That’s Bianca and I in Vegas in 2010. Our first visit. I loved that black and blue dress. 🤓🥂 Take care!

Good night.

Day 100.

Happy Summer! ☀️

It’s been 100 days since work shut down and the shelter in place soon followed. Mind blown. 😱 I’m doing okay. I miss doing simple and mundane tasks outside. I wish I took advantage of it before the pandemic. Sigh.

Before I went to sleep I watched Knives Out with the fam. It was really good! It had me guessing the entire time. The cast was great. 🙂 Check it out if you’re into mystery.

It’s been a sad day. The news was heartbreaking. 😭 My friend’s dog, Louie, crossed over to the rainbow bridge today. I met him in January 2013. I think he barked at me. Haha. He eventually mellowed out as the evening went on. Louie was one of the sweetest dogs ever. I remember the random trip to Portland and he joined us for our adventure. I also visited LA in 2016 (that’s me with Louie!) and he followed us all over the house. Time flies. Pets teach us so much along the way. I cherish every family pet we have had. RIP dear Louie. ❤️🐶

My classmate from high school also shared her story of miscarriage. My heart breaks for her too. Thank you for sharing Layla’s story. 💕

I didn’t do much today. I slept in. We made mochi pancakes in the afternoon with bananas and strawberries on the side. Afterwards, I decided to lie down and play some Animal Crossing. My island is a mess and so is my house. Slowly getting my loan down. It’ll be another few weeks. I don’t time travel. Many of my friends do, but I’m content playing in real time.

I just bought Affinity Photo. I need a photo editor on my laptop. Adobe programs are out of my budget. Their sale ends tonight. If you need a photo editing program, check them out. It’s a decent alternative!

It’s Father’s Day tomorrow and I find myself being happy and sad. 😢 I feel so many emotions. It’s tough sometimes, but I always find a way to make it through the day. It’s been complicated. I love Dad very much. It’s a generational difference as well as a cultural. I won’t elaborate much more.

I’m hoping for a better week. I’m still feeling kind of down with my current situation. I won’t ever know if I don’t ask. So I’m going to type up an email and I’ll go from there. I do need advice from other patients. Sighhh. Just breathe.

Gotta practice my uke. 🙂

I hope you all had a nice Saturday. Take care!

Good night.

Day 99.

Here’s to Juneteenth! I remain in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters. Black Lives Matter! 🖤

The weekend is here! I’m so excited. It allows me to reenergize and center myself for the new week. My mind has been heavy. I’m at a crossroads in my life and I’m not sure what to do. It makes me sad, tired, and a little angry. I need answers, but I think I must look within. Maybe in a dream?

This time last year I was in Paris. What a beautiful city. I would love to go back! I really don’t know when considering the pandemic. My travel dreams have been halted and I’m okay with it. I just want everyone happy, safe, and healthy.

I took it easy today. I watched TV with the sisters, had brunch, and then I took a nap. My energy has depleted as of late. I did drink 2 kencko smoothies. My next shipment will be shipped in a few days. I feel better about myself since I’m getting fruits and veggies a few times out of the week. I haven’t been exercising since my energy levels are low. 😕 Maybe I can do some yoga this weekend.

Animal Crossing update: I’m revamping everything and trying to sell everything. Must pay off my current loan though. I want my kitchen! 300+ more payments and then I’m free until the next loan. Haha. Oh man.

I’m gonna practice a bit of my uke. And then my usual nightcap is watching Dear White People. I’m on volume 2. Woo! I really like the show. The cast is great. 😊

Well, I hope you all had a nice Friday. Enjoy the weekend. Take care! ❤️

Good night.

Day 36.

TGIF! ❤️ That’s me in Toronto in front of Kim’s Convenience, one of my favorite Canadian shows. The brother took the pic. This was June 2019. Such a fun city! I’ll be back. 🙂

It was a pretty good day. I was able to recycle a lot of old papers again. That’s as far as I could get today. I’m hoping to do more tomorrow. I was lacking energy. I still am right now. Might take a quick nap.

Ukulele practice! I can hear the notes better when I’m strumming. That’s a good thing.

Watched The First Wives Club for the first time ever. I really liked it. And then I watched Rescue 911, Unsolved Mysteries, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Shark Tank with the fam! I saw part of 20/20, Siegfried and Roy’s story after the 2003 accident. I hope I can rewatch it.

My eyes are getting heavy. So it’s time for that nap. Hope everyone had a nice Friday!

Good night.

b

Day 20.

Happy April! It’s a new month. Glad to have turned the page on March. We made it! ❤️

I didn’t sleep very well. My insomnia was terrible. And I couldn’t stay asleep. I hate when that happens. So I slept the day away. I’ve been watching episodes of Kim’s Convenience. S4 is here! 😊 I love all the characters and the humor. Too good.

Still a waiting game on a few things in my life. It’s all transitional. I’m learning to be okay with the stillness. I miss what was. I miss everyone. 😭 And I’m waiting on my uke. Watching beginner videos to keep my mind right once it gets here.

I’m remaining positive and hopeful. I never give up on hope.

Hope your first day of April went well! Have a good night.

b

Day 14.

It’s been two weeks. I’m doing okay. Everything is repetitive, but I can’t complain. I’m at home where we have access to water, electricity, food, and facilities. All of that is a blessing. ❤️

I’ve been thinking a lot about enamel pins. I’m hoping to design one for a good cause. I haven’t figured out what it’ll look like. Things are brewing and it’s a process. I’ll continue to be patient with myself.

I slept a lot today. I woke up at a decent time, but decided to nap twice. Lol. I’m okay with that. I also watched another episode of Broad City. Abbi and Ilana are BFF goals. Haha.

Traveling dreams are real. I went through my camera roll looking at pictures from our family visit to Canada in 2018. Good times. I miss flying. I miss discovering new places. This too shall pass, but until then I’ll continue looking at pictures to remind me of better days ahead.

And I want to learn the uke! I’m looking for a nice beginner one to purchase. I played the piano for two years when I was a teen and I was in choir in high school. Other than that, I don’t have a lot of background in music. There’s always time to learn something new. I’m looking forward to it! 🙂

And Happy Air Max Day! I love Nike. ☺️

That was my Thursday. Thanks for reading!

b

Day 8.

Hope is still alive! I’ve been restless. Didn’t sleep well at all. Doing my best to keep my anxiety at bay.

I cleaned a bit today, but I’m planning to do more tomorrow. I’m just worried about my medicine delivery. It was originally supposed to arrive by the end of the day, but now there’s a delay. I hope it arrives tomorrow. I’ve reached out to customer service. The odd thing is that it’s already in the city. I understand the current situation at hand, but the medication is essential to my wellbeing. I don’t want to stress.

I miss my family and friends so I dedicated a post to them on my personal IG. The love is reciprocated. We’ll get through this together! 💕

Photography is keeping me sane. Not much to write about today. I’m just all up in my own feelings.

Until next time.

b

It’s almost here.

Super Bowl Sunday! Ahhhh. I’m nervous, anxious, and excited. It’s going to be a good one.

The city has been lit in red & gold. It’s so pretty! I want one more photo shoot with city hall. I’m ready! 😂❤️💛

I’m thankful to be home this time around. Our last SB appearance, I was in Davis for a youth conference. Shout out to PYC! 🇵🇭❤️

I get to relax for now. I love the weekend.

Good night.

GO NINERS! ❤️💛❤️💛

Saturday, December 28, 2019.

We landed in London at about 10:30am. Getting off the plane took a while because we had to take shuttle busses to the terminal. We eventually got off at about 11ish. Scanned our passports at the e-gates. We had to use the bathrooms to freshen up + go to baggage claim.

Once all of that was done, we waited around for our driver to take us to the hotel. We didn’t realize we were an hour away, so we tried to take a nap in the car. London traffic is busy, just like any major city. We passed through Kensington and many notable places in London. It was cold. But we were excited!

We finally get to our destination. We met our tour director, Kay. She’s Scottish. Super friendly! We checked in with our tour packets in hand. Lil’s room was ready before ours was (we had to wait about 2 hours) so we accompanied her and hung out. We were watching a British cooking show on tv. Made me hungry.

Afterwards, we decided to go for a snack run. We needed water, soda, crisps, and chocolate. Pretty much junk food. Haha. We went to Tesco which was a short walk from the hotel. Tower Bridge was very close to us so we walked over.

At this point, I was ecstatic to just be in London again. I didn’t sleep much. We had a welcome meeting and dinner to meet our tour group in the evening.

Once we returned to the hotel, our room was finally ready! So juiced to be able to unpack and relax for a bit before meeting new folks. We get a knock at the door and it’s Laura! She hands us our customized scarves with our names on it. Very nice surprise. Here are a few shots from that day. I’ve got more to sort through. Stay tuned for my next entry. 🙂

Table for one.

Last Friday was a day well spent. That’s always an experience, dining alone.

I needed a hearty meal before I went in for my first round of iron infusions. That probably explains why I haven’t been feeling the greatest by the way.

Hahn’s Hibachi just opened for lunch. I strolled in happily. I was the first diner for their lunch rush. I have so many fond memories there. The one in our neighborhood ended up shuttering because I believe the owners retired. So many family lunches and dinners. My default was always the BBQ Chicken with rice. I slowly transitioned to the sizzling Bibimbap bowl. The crunchy rice at the bottom is the best. But it’s important to mix! 🙂 All the ingredients go so well together.

I’ve been laying low for the most part. Recovery is so important and self-care is my priority!

Wishing you all a wonderful and productive week! 💜
