Rain rain go away!

Thankful that most of CA is out of the drought. But this current weather pattern is too much. It’s officially spring and we’re still dealing with winter storms! Please make it stop. 😫

I had a good day yesterday. Finished our midterm group project, presented, and saw my lupus team. So very grateful for clinic! They’re my biggest cheerleaders. 💜🫶🏼 Felt good to be affirmed. Now I just need to own it!

Took a long nap, but I’m about to just ko. And all I ate were pastries. 🙃 Dealt with a bad case of heartburn too! Getting older is an adventure.

And congrats to Japan for winning the WBC! 🇯🇵⚾️

Well, this is good night! Byeee.

Time is winding down.

This title applies to many things going on in my life right now.

  1. The Giants got the win and man was it torturous! 10 games remaining, 2 game lead against our rivals. BEAT LA!!!! 🖤🧡🖤🧡
  2. Feeling discouraged because I shared the bday and Lupus fundraiser for our dear friend, Sarah and I’ve only gotten a handful of donations. Very thankful to those who have already donated! 🙏🏼 I hope we hit our goal before or on 10/16!!! 💜
  3. Lots of other things going on, but I’ll save that for another day.

Work went well. It’s just too quiet in the office, so I played my fave tunes to get through the day.

Starting anew is worth it!!!! ❤️

I’m taking more photos again. The fog was really pretty! 🌁

I’m tired, but I need to clean and study later. It’ll all get done.

Good night and Go Giants!!!!

Day 359.

Happy Saturday!! I haven’t done much today. It’s been very mellow.

  • I’m reflecting on life and memories for most of the day. Our Lola is getting older and I hope she’s doing okay. I’m just getting sentimental. 😭❤️
  • I got to sleep in and recharge.
  • I’ve been watching tv all day. We’re currently watching She’s All That. One of our faves!!! 💗
  • Animal Crossing update: Usual business on Mango. I sold the rest of my turnips. Hoping to do more with my island tomorrow.
  • I also started playing Luigi’s Mansion 3. I need to read up on it since I’m not very good at playing it yet. We’ll see.
  • I think the nausea has subsided. I hope it doesn’t happen again because it’s a terrible feeling. Most likely vaccine side effects and my current state.
  • Hoping to rest up again for tomorrow. Hopefully I can get in some exercise.
  • And I remember my friend Sarah today. Missing you lots. 💜🤍
  • Alright, back to the movie.

Hope y’all had a nice one. Take care!

Good night.

Day 299.

Happy Tuesday! How was your day?

  • Watched more Gossip Girl! The first season is amazing. I’m going to stick with it and try to finish all the seasons.
  • I didn’t sleep very well or right away because I was anxious for my driving lesson. I haven’t driven since last month.
  • Thankfully, my driving instructor understood and my lesson went well. Still some things to improve on, but I hope I can practice even more. Maybe this weekend? One of my goals is to drive to Japantown. 🙂
  • I finished all of my work trainings! Yay!!! Just need to take care of my COVID test and I’ll be set to return to work next week.
  • Spent time with the dogs. 💕
  • Still thinking of when we can all fly and travel again.
  • Highlight of my day: Followed up with my medical team. I love catching up with everyone from clinic! Thankful for their care and guidance. 💜
  • Savoring my last few days of break. It came and went! 😢
  • Lastly, Happy Birthday to you, Lolo (grandpa)! We never got the chance to meet and get to know you here in the States. Whenever you are – I hope you’re happy and having a grand time! RIP 💗

That was my Tuesday. 😁 Hope y’all had a nice one. Take care!

Good night.

Day 139.

Happy Wednesday! It’s almost the weekend. Can’t wait. I’m sad to see July go, but I’m ready for August. Lots of revamping. Yay!!!

I was quite tired today. My sleep has been up and down. I’m trying to normalize it. SIP has been tough to navigate. I woke up from my nap about 45 minutes ago. Days are repetitive so I do my best to change it up. I really want to start doing yoga again. I was so consistent back in June. 😞 I’m being patient with myself.

The highlight of my day was cooking with my sisters. I contributed my peeling potatoes and cooking rice. We made adobo! So good. I love Filipino food. 😋

Animal Crossing update: Pascal gave me the DIY recipe for the mermaid dresser. I’m getting close to the entire collection. And the new update for fireworks, dream sequence, and so much more is being released tomorrow! Some folks have already had it for a few hours. I’ll just wait until midnight.

I’m dealing with some anxiety, but I know I’ll work through it. Discomfort is real, but it’s how we grow. Our comfort zones are cool, but it’s too safe. Although 2020 has been something, it’s good to challenge ourselves! I’m still brainstorming about what online class I want to offer in the Fall. I’ll get there.

I also renewed my Flickr account. It hasn’t been active since January? So confusing. Glad it’s reactivated. I back up my pictures on there.

Giants win! 🖤🧡 It was a walk off. Thanks Yaz!! Our offense is showing up. It’s nice to see. I watched for a few innings and then I took my nap. Lol.

That was my day. Hope yours went well. Take care!

Good night.

LET ME THINK 31.

It’s been a while since I’ve done this. I’m writing to let go of my anxiety. I’m feeling miserable about myself. I’m trying to breathe. Trying to be rational. But my overthinking always gets the best of me. I hate it.

I’m in dire need of my heart medication. I’ve never been without it. I’m so upset. I’ve cried a bit. When I’m overwhelmed, I cry.

Holding onto hope. There’s so much going on in the world, but this medication is essential to my wellbeing. I’m scared. I’ve contacted my team, I’m in touch with the pharmacy, and I will give UPS a call in the morning.

You’re swamped. I get it. But I’m on the road to getting myself more sick if I don’t take my meds. The life of a chronic condition patient. I don’t have anything to hide. This has been my life since I was 17 and then diagnosed with my heart condition at 20. This pandemic just reemphasizes the struggles of chronic condition patients. This is our reality. Whenever this pandemic passes, our realities remain the same. Struggle and survival.

I’m going to try to sleep, but I don’t know if I can.

b

Isolation.

As of late, I’ve felt a void. I really miss my friend, Sarah. It hasn’t been the same since her passing.

I’ve been much more vocal with my own personal struggles with my chronic conditions. I think the first step is acceptance. When I was a teenager, I was so ashamed and in denial. I didn’t want anyone to know. I already felt different from my peers. It was tough trying to fit in and finding that group of friends that would support you through it all. As I got older, I found those people and to this day they still have my back. You know who you are. Thank you for all of your love, support, and affirmation through the years. Encouragement goes a long way! ❤

Sarah was a strong advocate for Lupus awareness. It’s reignited a lot inside of me to create more visibility and awareness. Many still don’t know what the condition is and what it does to a patient’s body. Especially the side effects of medication. Every patient is different. Some symptoms are shared. It really is a snowflake condition. There’s so much research being done to find that cure. But I’m hopeful. And I’ll continue to be.

I want to honor Sarah’s memory the best way that I can. I’m planning to participate in the Lupus walk this year. But it’s been tough. I miss sending her messages and checking in whenever we could. I definitely cherish all the college memories we had together. Thank you for reaching out first and most especially your friendship. I’ll never forget your kindness.

You’re truly missed, Sarah. ❤

RIP Sarah. 💜

I’ve been processing so much in the last 24 hours. I’m so sad. Today was a heavy day for me, but I went about with my routine. I thought of you throughout the day.

Ultimately, I just want to say thank you. When I transferred to UC Davis, it took a lot of adjustment with upper division classes, making friends, socializing, and getting used to Davis itself. When Kengar connected us, I was grateful. I didn’t feel so isolated and I had someone to lean on about everything. Thank you for reaching out. I still remember chatting on FB Messenger and sharing our stories with each other.

I’ll remember the Lupus walks we participated in together. It was empowering to be in that shared space. Your advocacy was inspiring. The picture above was the last walk we did together before you went off to SD and then Hawaii. Social media kept us connected. Even from afar, you were a cheerleader!

You’ve impacted my life in so many ways. I’ll miss your presence, your smile, and especially your laugh. Thank you again for your friendship. You’ll truly be missed. Rest well, beautiful warrior. I love you. 💜💜💜💜💜 #LupusWarriors
