Farewell to 2017!

Laki. ❀

I loved and I lost. That sums up 2017 for me. I had to turn multiple pages and start anew. Change is scary, but absolutely necessary for growth.

I won’t have a month by month log of everything that happened this year. To be honest, I was so hopeful in January. I was looking forward to a lot, especially my 30th year. Everything seemed possible. February rolls around and Bianca was dealing with so much. It was up and down for the family. And maybe we were all preoccupied with that which is super important, but also realizing Laki was growing weak too. I held on for as long as I could. I really did. I believe he did too.

When Laki passed, nothing else mattered to me. I got a rude awakening myself in terms of my health and had to let go. After March ended, I don’t remember much. I was grieving for quite some time. Isolation was necessary for me. Everything was quite a blur. I slowly began to pick the pieces up and start again. I didn’t look back after April ended. It was time to take care of myself!

Summer was a period of relaxation. I had so much time and I’m grateful for that. I found my motivation. I landed aΒ new position come August. I took that jump! And I’m glad I did. I’m surrounded by awesome and supportive co-workers. I’m so appreciative of them. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

February still sticks out in my mind. I got to go to Vegas and hang with the BFF for our birthdays. Unfortunately, Bianca was unable to join us. We gotta plan the next trip (you’ll be there, Bianca!!). We stayed in the Aria, eating at the buffet, dining at momofuku + milk bar, playing some games at the casino, etc. We all need fun! More traveling needs to be done in 2018.

I’m still hopeful for the New Year. 2018, I’m ready. Wishing you all a Happy 2018! Enjoy the night.

With love,

MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: DECEMBER 24-30, 2017.

The final week of 2017. WE MADE IT! It’s been quite a year for me, but I’m still standing. Resiliency.

Christmas festivities and just resting up after the holidays. Lots of staying up and sleeping in. My vacation is winding down. I’ll miss it, but I’m ready for my usual routine.

Here’s my week!

Lolo & Lola.

I’ve been talking about them a lot lately. The holiday season is always really difficult. I miss wrapping presents together. I miss the family parties. And most of all, I miss their presence. They both gave me reassurance and so much life advice.

I’ve done a lot of reflecting this week. My break is winding down. Staying up and sleeping in has been fun. It reminds me of high school.

As this new year approaches, I want a clearer picture of my goals and where I’m headed. I’m so anxious for 2018, but I know big things are in store. I’m ready for the ride.

I’ll write a much more thorough entry of my 2017 in a later post. Most likely New Year’s Eve.

Happy Friday! πŸ™‚

MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: DECEMBER 17-23, 2017.

This was a better week! I’m so glad. I finally got to leave the house. It felt like a new world.

It was a week of movies, Christmas shopping, and catching up. I was able to eat solid food again. I was overjoyed and relieved! I was still feeling nauseous after my bug, but it eventually subsided.

Here’s my week. ENJOY!

MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: DECEMBER 10-16, 2017.

It’s been quite a week for me. Where do I start? Everything is kind of a blur. It’s the last week of work before holiday break. I had to take my break early due to unforeseen circumstances. I’ll go into detail on Wednesday, 12/13.

I’ve been recovering these last few days. Haven’t had much of a routine other than sleeping, napping, watching Netflix, listening to Christmas music, watching vlogs on Youtube, etc. I’ve also been MIA on social media. I don’t want any spoilers forΒ The Last Jedi.

I did get to setup the Christmas tree before I got sick, so hurrah! πŸ™‚

Here’s my week. Cheers!

Life update.

I was admitted to the ER last night for a stomach bug. Spent 9 hours in the hospital before being discharged.

It’s nice to be home, but I’ve developed a slight fever. That means I’ll be missing out on The Last Jedi premiere with the family. I was very much looking forward to attending. Things happen and I want to be sure I’m on the road to recovery!!

So the trade off is staying home and watching something on Netflix + sleeping. I really don’t want to go back to the ER. The wait was quite long for a room. I hope this clears up soon. PLS.

I hope you all had a nice Thursday! Time to rest up.

Good night.

MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: DECEMBER 3-9, 2017.

It’s been quite a week! I got to see the 49ers win their 2nd game of the season, I attended a number of holiday parties, free agency is heating up in the MLB (No Stanton or Ohtani blah), and many other events in between.

I felt a little tired in the beginning of the week, but it subsided after a few days or so. Which is why I always emphasize power naps. πŸ˜€

I’m also about to send out Christmas/holiday cards.

Here’s my week!

From the archive.

So many dog photos, but I love it! This was after work one day. I was super tired and cold. The living room is always eventful and this photo is an example of it. Laki loved being everywhere, especially the futon with endless blankets. What a dog! His personality doesn’t compare. So silly.

I miss him all the time. It’s approaching 9 months. So many happy memories. I will always cherish those.

I hope you all had a great Thursday! Where did the week go?

Sleep well.

MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: NOVEMBER 26-DECEMBER 2, 2017.

It was a bit of a slow week for me, but it was back to work! We as a staff had to get used to the new after school schedule. I think we’ll have it down in a week or so.

I’m still in the middle of Christmas shopping, so that’s been okay. I watched movies again and I got to photograph the gingerbread house at the Fairmont + other sights in the Financial District. Hanging with the doggies is a given. Haha. πŸ™‚

I can’t believe it’s December! Where did the year go?!
