We had to say goodbye to our dear Coco. It was difficult, but we knew she was at peace. We’ll love you forever.
This chapter of our lives (adolescence) has come to an end. Turning the page for new adventures with Beari and Sally. They’ll always be the three amigos though. As I’ve mentioned before, each and every dog who has come into our lives has taught us so much. It’s allowed me to open my heart and care for another dog. There’s so much room in my heart, although it isn’t the strongest. Each dog was/is special.
I dedicate this post to our family dogs, past and present. ❤
To the pictures!

We stayed up quite late to give Coco her second dose of medication. The Princess and the Frog is one of our favorites so we put that on. Coco wasn’t looking the greatest, but another day with her.
I decided to go to sleep at about 5am. I kept tossing and turning, but I eventually fell asleep. My heart dropped when my brother woke me up at about 9am telling me Coco had passed. She was in peace. So many memories came rushing back. One of them would be sharing camp fire stories in the closet with the dogs and my sisters. Good times! And the day at the beach was the greatest. I’ll miss giving her peanut butter, banana, and fries. We loved to spoil her. Miss you always, Coco. ❤
It was a blessing to have work canceled that Monday and Tuesday. It allowed me to process, grieve, and reflect. If I had to be at work, I wouldn’t be feeling 100%.
We decided to get In-n-Out for lunch. In honor of our sweet Coco. 🙂
Animal style fries. Guilty pleasure! 😀
We stayed in for a while. Just to spend a few more hours with Coco before dropping her off at the SPCA. We decided on an individual cremation and to have her remains returned. It was about 5:30pm when we got to the vet. We went inside the grieving room to pay our last respects to our dear sister. It was bittersweet. To this day, I still look for her. I’ll glance in the living room expecting her to be on the dog bed waiting for food and a nap on our laps. Sigh. Losing a member of the family is tough. No matter how many times it happens.
I really wanted comfort food. Spam fried rice is easy, so I decided to make that. It nourished us, despite our sadness. We also watched television to distract us.
It was quite a Monday.

This summarizes my Tuesday. I slept and I ate. A lot. Milk tea with boba is comfort food for us. We also had tacos and I split a steak plate. #mess #sad

We stayed up late. Beari keeps us on our toes. Haha.
We also had to get up early to pick up Coco’s remains. She’s almost home!
Rise and shine! 9:30am. The rain is finally in the Bay Area. The air quality is back to normal.
Bianca.
Selfie.
I waited in the car with Beari while the sibs picked up Coco.
Coco’s home! We felt complete again. Once we got back, I took a nap.
The sisters and I decided on Japantown for dinner. YAY!
Katsu curry don and donburi! Everything was amazing like always.
It was a beautiful night! We wanted dessert, but decided on the market first.
I wasn’t feeling the greatest. I ate my food too fast. Terrible.
I felt a bit better after the market, so we walked to Uji Time. HURRAH!!
Black sesame! My favorite flavor.

Happy Day of Thanks! This was my only picture from the day.
I was so sleepy that I slept. A lot.
Loretta and Mom did a great job preparing everything!
Leftovers for days.

Ran some errands in the afternoon. Rain again in the forecast. It was cold and windy.
Beari had a vet appointment in the evening. Rabies shot needed to be updated.
BEARI! She was so anxious and scared. She eventually calmed down once they took her to the back room.
Beari’s been dealing with a liver condition. We’ve been monitoring it since January 2018.

Hi Sal! The only image from this day.
I was still sad and tired. Taking it one day at a time.

Lazy Sunday!
I recognized the actor from Center Stage in a Hallmark movie. Lol.
This was really good! Just be careful around dogs. It has sorbitol. Eep.
That was my week. Lots of self care which is very important!
I’m almost caught up. Thanks for your patience.
