MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: APRIL 30-MAY 6, 2018.

Family is not an important thing, it’s everything. -Michael J. Fox

There was a lot of reflection, processing, and crying this week. Grief is a part of life and everyone deals with it differently. Being with family during somber times is comforting.

Despite the sadness, I carried on with the rest of my week. We took Beari to the vet for her ultrasound, I finally rode one of the new Muni trains, and volunteered for another Growing Up Asian In America Ceremony at the Asian Art Museum. It’s always an empowering space.

To the pictures!

Beari!

It’s Monday. The same thought runs through my mind. “Where did the weekend go?”

Decided to get an acai bowl. Much needed.

I got lunch too: flank steak bowl from Proper Food.

Our boss put this up. Hilarious! 😛 #throwback

Work went well. But I was in a so-so mood. 😦

Music and a seat. That’s all I need on the commute home.

Happy May!

I always see random things on the sidewalk. Interesting.

The shadows were intriguing.

Brunch. I like these.

Sunny, but windy day.

Giants ads! 🙂 “It Doesn’t Get More SF.”

GO DUBS!!!!!

Game two. He’s back!!! 😀

New train! Love the new design.

Downtown bound.

Saw this ladybug as I sat on the plaza.

Beari fell asleep while we prayed the novena for Marian. ❤

I’m finally riding the new train! So sleek and futuristic. I was happy!

New kicks, new train.

The passenger across from me kept to himself and was quite patient. I think he got off at Powell Station.

Almost at the last stop. Couldn’t go without a selfie. Haha.

Grabbed lunch before work. Steak tacos!

Cookies for staff! A small token of appreciation since I would be off for a few days.

Some of the best cookies ever! My cousin, Adrian, introduced me to them.

Saw a chinchilla after work! It was the guard’s mother’s pet.

See ya, Nob Hill!

Passing by Chinatown.

I was a day early. This was cool to see.

In the heart of the Financial District.

Found these at Whole Foods. I approve!

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!

Off to the vet. Dropping Beari off for her ultrasound.

Walked by dog eared books. YES, BASEBALL!!!

Decided to take Beari to Dolores Park. The vet said she was very sweet and well-behaved. 😀

She was so curious. Everyone loved her! It was a gorgeous day.

She was a bit anxious, but she did a great job! We’re so proud of her. She’s come a long way. ❤

It’s the Growing Up Asian In America Ceremony 2018! It’s my fifth straight year helping out. I love volunteering during this event. The youth are so bright and empowering.

This year’s theme. ❤

After the ceremony, I helped with clean up. The fund even gave me a container of cookies to take home.

City Hall! Gloomy day. I walked to Van Ness Station to catch the train. The wait wasn’t long.

Indian food for lunch! Everything’s always amazing. LOVE IT!!!

Watched Seventeen Again with the sisters! Mark Taylor. Yasss.

Happy Birthday, Willie Mays! 😀

Made my brunch. My plating wasn’t very good. Haha.

Got ready for my cousin’s services. Before we left, I took a walk. I needed to clear my head and mentally prepare myself.

Our hearts were heavy. I haven’t seen the family since the last week of April.

We prayed for Marian and caught up with relatives and friends.

We got home and ordered take out. Halal Guys! Always delicious.

After dinner, we prayed our novena for Marian.

I did a lot of reflecting before bed. I just remembered a few things while growing up with the cousins. Time moves too fast. 😦

I hope you enjoyed my week. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time.
