Farewell 2016.

What can I say about 2016? I learned a lot about myself. I’m always learning. I’m always challenging myself as well. I still haven’t taken that huge leap of faith. That will come in due time. Some new things I tried: speed dating (LOL), flying on my own (LA), and finishing a TFC teleserye (On The Wings Of Love!!!). I also got to see Adele in concert at the Staples Center. She was amazing!!!

Some not so great things: The NBA Finals. That still pains me. Tears. Tears. Tears. The Giants not winning the World Series, but come on we all saw that coming! Congratulations again to the Cubs. The postseason was phenomenal. Absolutely electrifying. I LOVE SPORTS!!! And of course the passing of many notable figures this year.

I’m sitting up in bed right now typing away. I’m really grateful for this moment because the new year is almost here. I get to celebrate at home. No work tomorrow. Laki is sound asleep on my blanket. And that’s what I hope to continue: being present and appreciating each moment.

I’m hopeful for 2017. It’s a big year for me. I hope I finally figure things out, but I’m always a work in progress. One step is a huge step for me. I’m letting go of the past and it’s time to move forward. Don’t look back, I’m not going that way! A grudge is dead weight. Let it be. There are ups and there are downs. Everything is a learning experience.

Here’s to a prosperous and healthy 2017! ❤

It’s difficult to grasp the passing of Carrie Fisher. She was a bad ass feminist, a brilliant actress, and a mental health advocate all in one. Star Wars won’t be the same without her. And everything about her has already been said. She will be truly missed.

RIP Carrie Fisher.

“Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.” ― Wishful Drinking, 2008

hello.

This is a clean slate for me. I definitely want to document 2017 as much as I possibly can. I now have a new laptop in my possession, so no excuses. 😀

I’m hoping to share more of my photography, thorough thoughts, and anything else that comes to mind. Writing is my outlet.

This is a start. Right now, I’m mentally and physically exhausted. I need to get back to the drawing board.

Welcome to my new blog.
